Lumex started after two of us built a database and reporting tool for the LSU baseball program. We had spent years doing that kind of work inside a large enterprise, and building something outside that world made one thing obvious: most businesses have the same needs and none of the access.

Scope, stack, and timeline get agreed on in writing before a single line of code. Things change, that's fine, but we make decisions deliberately, not reactively.
